A deeply religious man himself, Frank played the role from 1969-77, and appeared in the 2016 movie version.Other achievements…He played Charles the bishop in the sitcom You Rang, M’Lord? and further clergymen in Hi-de-Hi! and Vanity Fair. Frank also starred in The Army Game, Anna Karenina, The Worker, What’s Up Nurse! and Stella.Tribute….Frank died on 26 June, aged 90.
