How do I see past auctions on AuctionZip? ›

Contact an auction house you have registered with

Click on your account dropdown in the upper right of the page. Click “Online.” Select “My Auctions” and choose whether it is a Current or a Past sale.

You have the choice to purchase a standard AuctionZip listing for $20, and can upgrade to a Featured Listing for an additional $150. You can upgrade to a Featured Listing by going to your Auctioneer Home, clicking "Manage Listings," and clicking "Upgrade this Auction."

Click Online Bidding at the top of the page. Locate the auction you would like to bid in, and click the red Enter the Auction Button. Click on the lot you are interested in. In the field below the Current Bid, enter your Maximum Bid and click the blue Leave Bid button.

My Account – This link, located at the top-center of the home page, allows you to update your registration information, view any bids you've placed, and keep track of any items you've marked as pieces of interest.

Bide your time. You stand a greater chance of getting the item by placing your highest bid in the closing seconds. If an auction listing has a reserve price, bid up to that amount as early as possible, so other bidders aren't attracted by the low starting price.

Most people would rather bid low, but not too low ($5-10 is the sweet spot) Round numbers are popular. Look at how many more people bid $5, $10, $15 or $20 compared to bidding just a dollar more or less.

Online auctions can be profitable, but success depends on various factors. The profitability of online auctions depends on the items being sold, their condition, demand, and effective marketing. High-demand, unique, or collectible items tend to yield better profits.

How do I access auction insights? ›

Select a specific campaign, ad group, or keyword by checking the box next to each item. Note: You can only select keywords on a single page at a time (unless you run a report for “All”). Click Auction insights. You'll now be taken to your auction insights report.

Otherwise, search for the item and select "ended items" in the "Show only" filter menu on the left side of the search results page to see item listings after they have ended.

If you win an auction, the item should appear in your Purchase History as awaiting payment. If not, it should appear on your Bids & Offers page under "Didn't win". If you add an item you are interested in bidding on to your Watch List, that makes it easier to find the item again no matter what happens to it.

As you plan your auction, make sure to consider: Whether your displays will be single- or multi-level. If you have the time to acquire and set up a number of clear plastic stands, elevating the items and or/display sheets above the bid sheets is often more visually interesting to participants.
